It features all sorts of memorable scenes and developments as well as an involving narrative arc, if not precisely a 'story. The only thing that was probably lost on me was a pretty heavy description of the types of wildflowers you would see on every trail in every season. Each month spans two pages for clarity.

Gave it one star because I couldn't give it no stars! This book is ridiculous....very little text....mostly a picture book. There is a whole lot more to say about Black women and there contributions to America. This book says very little!...
